Jesse McCord Lewis
June 30, 2006 – December 14, 2012
“Six-year-old Jesse Lewis had hot chocolate with his favorite breakfast sandwich — sausage, egg and cheese — at the neighborhood deli before going to school Friday morning. Jesse and his parents were regulars at the Misty Vale Deli in Sandy Hook, Conn., owner Angel Salazar told The Wall Street Journal.” [1]

The community of Stamford is the site of the new playground dedicated to Jesse Lewis. On December 14, 2012, Victoria Soto had hidden some of her students in the closet and in cabinets. Adam Lanza had shot and killed Victoria Soto when his gun jammed. Jesse yelled at his fellow classmates, “RUN!” At least six of his classmates bolted and escaped. Lanza reloaded and shot Jesse in the head. [5]
“He is survived by his mother, Scarlett Lewis, his brother, JT Lewis, his father, Neil Heslin, his grandparents, Maureen Lewis, Bob Comfort, and David Lewis, his uncles, aunts and cousins, Trent, Sasha and Hayden Lewis, Jordan, Becky, Christian and Everett Lewis, Coulter, Kristy and Quinn Lewis and as many dear friends as the stars.” [6]
